DIY honey and oatmeal mask for acne and acne scars ♡

Have you been having trouble with acne lately? Do you have acne scars that you really want to get rid of?! Then this mask is for you. Not only is honey a perfect antibacterial but oatmeal is jam packed with amazing things that can help sooth your skin when its red and irritated. You know when you're breaking out and your face is all red and hurts? This will help you!

 What you'll need
Honey
 (3 table spoons)
Oatmeal
 (2 table spoons)
Lemons
(one table spoon of fresh lemon juice OPTIONAL)

Warning: This CAN get messy so make sure to do this in a bathroom. When you have the mask on, make sure to have a towel draped over your chest so when it drips, it doesn't get all over the place.

The first thing you're going to want to do is blend or grind the oatmeal into a fine powder. I actually don't have a blender at the moment so I couldn't show you guys, sorry! You don't HAVE to blend it, but it makes the whole process a little less messy than it already is. After you grind the oatmeal you're going to add three table spoons of honey to the mix. Once everything is in, mix everything together really well with a spoon or fork.

Once everything is mixed together make sure it isn't too watery, if it is you can add more oatmeal. If its too dry, add more honey. As this mask is amazing for acne scars, adding lemon to the mix will make it even better. If you want that extra boost you can add one table spoon of fresh lemon juice. If you have a lot of acne currently on your face I wouldn't recommend this as it can burn a little if there are open scars on your face. Leave everything on for about 15 minutes, wash off, and you're done! Your face should look and feel like a baby's bottom.

    1. Use fresh lemon (organic would be better) as bottled lemon juice contains preservatives and additives already.. :-)
